Rampur Shines: Bushahr Boxing Club Emerges as Overall Champion in Bushahr Boxing Open Championship 2025

The spirit of determination, discipline, and sportsmanship was on full display as the three-day Bushahr Boxing open Championship 2025, organized on the occasion of the International Lavi Fair, concluded triumphantly at Government College Rampur. Bushahr Boxing Club delivered an outstanding performance, proudly securing the Overall Championship Trophy and bringing pride to the entire region.

The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha’s 7th Finance Commission Chairman and MLA Shri Nand Lal, who honored the medal winners with awards and praised the exceptional dedication shown by the young athletes. Also present as special guests were renowned coaches Gurdev Singh Bishesh and Avneesh Awasthi, who encouraged the participants for their hard work and discipline.

This year’s championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from eight teams and 140 skilled boxers across various weight divisions. Rampur’s team, representing Bushahr Boxing Club, showcased unmatched consistency, power, and technique, leading them to claim the overall title.

  • Ashish clinched the Gold medal in 50 kg.

  • Shyam Lal won Silver, while Vishal secured Bronze.

  • Manjeet took Bronze in 55 kg.

  • Ankush struck Gold and Nakulesh bagged Silver, while Khalil Chandel and Mangat Ram secured Bronze.

  • Chandresh claimed Gold in 55 kg junior.

  • Gulshan won Silver, whereas Dhruv and Karnat earned Bronze.

  • In 60 kg, Gagan won Gold, and Harjeet earned Silver.

  • Rohit grabbed Gold and Yashraj clinched Silver in 70 kg.
